Manchester United players take their WAGs out to award ceremony... but Wayne Rooney leaves pregnant Coleen at home


Wednesday night Manchester United footballers enjoyed a night out with their WAGS in tow. But one face was missing from the line up at the Players Awards, after Wayne Rooney decided to leave his pregnant wife Coleen at home. While Coleen rested Georgina Dorsett, who is also pregnant, made an appearance with her boyfriend Tom Cleverley at the event at Old Trafford.

The former TOWIE star showed off her baby bump in a figure-hugging black dress and a pair of vertiginous heels. 
Georgina, who announced her pregnancy in December, had her hair style into a large fishtail plait and bright red lipstick. 
The couple, who began dating a year ago, are expecting their first child together and judging from Georgina's bump they don't have long to go until they welcome their little one.

Anders Lindegard's Misse Begiri showed her support for the team by wearing the a plunging red dress. 
Michael Carrick, who was named Manchester United's Players' Player of the Year at the event, arrived with his wife Lisa at the bash. 
The blonde wore a simple cream dress that boasted rouched detailing around the neckline and a hemline that fell below the knee.

Carrick's success will no doubt be all the more poignant, given he was presented the trophy by departing manager Sir Alex Ferguson. 
Speaking about his decision to retire, Ferguson told MUTV: 'That was an issue when (wife) Cathy and I chatted about this at Christmas. At that point we had a five-point lead and I thought we had a great chance.'

'I said "I really need to go out a winner. We need to win something". After the disappointment of last season we couldn't take a second one. I was hopeful we'd win it and we did.
'We had a terrific points lead. The problem is when you have a lead and you start to lose a point. When we lost to City in the Monday night game you start to think "Christ, you can't throw this away".'
While Wayne seemed to leave Coleen at home because she was ill, Ryan Giggs also attended the bash solo without his wife Stacey.

There was a familiar face joining the WAGs at Old Trafford, United fan Shobna Gulati also attended the bash. 
The 46-year-old actress wowed at the Manchester United Player of The Year awards in a figure-hugging lace dress with a bright red bra underneath on Wednesday night. 
The former soap star showed off her curves in the revealing number, that boasted a plunging neckline, sheer sleeves and a tulip hemline on the skirt.

The back of the dress displayed a sheer lace panel and Shobna's cherry bra could be seen clearly underneath. 
Adding extra impact to her outfit, Shobna rocked a smokey eye, bronzed cheeks and a glossy lip to attend the awards ceremony at Old Trafford. 
The actress looked every inch the WAG despite the fact she didn't have a footballer beau in tow.
